
Meet Keaton’s Kiddo Emily
In honor of Brain Cancer Awareness Month, we’d like to introduce you to Keaton’s Kiddo Emily, a remarkable young fighter who has been part of our Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance family since 2018. “Our journey began in Aug 2018, Emily our 8-year-old was waking up everyday with headaches and throwing up in the morning. After a CT Scan, we were told a MRI was needed as they saw a mass in her brain. Worse fear ever is hearing they found a mass, and you would need to be admitted….

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Gurneet
Meet 12-year-old Keaton’s kiddo, Gurneet! Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on January 7, 2022, Gurneet has been an outstanding fighter, remaining strong, hopeful, and resilient. Despite being diagnosed during such a pivotal time, Gurneet has blossomed into a bright and beautiful teenager, finding her love for volleyball, makeup, nails, and music! Since being referred to our Family Navigator program, our team has shared support to Gurneet and her family in various ways, but most recently, we were honored to join our alliance partners at the Sweet Dreams Foundation, and Bell Bros, in partnership with a Lennox representative, and found unique ways to act as a community and brighten Gurneet’s journey.

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Jagger
Meet Keaton’s Kiddo Jagger who is a ray of sunshine, always positive and full of life! He loves talking to people, playing board games, Spiderman universe, Paw Patrol, playing with his brother, and making other people laugh. At the end of February, he turned 5 years old, and last month, walked across the stage with pride to receive his preschool diploma, reaching HUGE milestones and achievements worth celebrating! At just 4 years old, in May of 2022, Jagger was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, (ALL), a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow and is the most common type of cancer in children, accounting for about 30% of all childhood cancers.

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Evie
Meet 3-year-old Evie who loves gymnastics and ballet. This sweet and spunky girl enjoys making new friends and playing. Until the final few months before Evie’s official diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on February 20, 2023. Evie’s parents had no reason to believe Evie was anything other than the happy, healthy, exceptionally social and developmentally advanced 3-year-old girl she appeared to be. Evie had long since conquered potty-training at 18 months, she started speaking in complete sentences at two, was excelling in her gymnastics and ballet classes, and at winning friends everywhere she went. But then the fevers started.

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Kodiak
Meet 7-year-old Kodiak who loves to play outside, play Mario Brothers and with hot wheels.
In the fall of 2023 Kodiak was diagnosed with two rare and aggressive forms of cancer: Mixed Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) or ‘preleukemia.’

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Jonhelle
Meet Keaton Kiddo Jonhelle, a sweet 9-year-old girl who loves painting, drawing, and biking. At just 6-years old, in August of 2020, Jonhelle was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, also known as ALL. With her diagnosis occurring in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic, her family came across many emotional and financial stressors, and faced much isolation as a family, as Jonhelle had two siblings at home.

Keaton’s Kiddo Update – Lea
Princess Lea, 6 years old, loves playing outdoors, painting, coloring, playing with her siblings, and everything Jojo Siwa! Lea’s life-changing journey began November 30, 2020 in the midst of COVID, when she began experiencing excruciating pain. After 11 days of multiple tests and having her bone marrow examined, Lea was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 3.5. Over the next 2 years she received aggressive treatment and participated in a clinical trial as well. She has been in remission since February 2021 and continued her active treatment journey.

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Santiago
Meet Keaton’s Kiddo Sweet Santiago! He is a 2-year-old who loves being outside and playing. Santiago was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor about 8 months ago. Wilms tumor is a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children. Also known as nephroblastoma, it is the most common cancer of the kidneys in children. This diagnosis did not stop Santiago from being resilient!

Meet Keaton’s Kiddo – Dallas
Little one-year-old Dallas enjoys playing ball, being a Dallas Cowboys fan, and watching Mickey Mouse and Sonic. In October 2022, his life changed when he was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, a cancer that spreads to distant parts of the body such as distant lymph nodes, bones, liver, skin, bone marrow, or other organs. Since receiving this diagnosis, Dallas’s family had to quickly adapt to the challenges that many families face with a childhood cancer diagnosis.
