Welcome Message From KRM’s New CEO

Thank you Teresa. Thank you for the kind introduction, but more importantly, thank you for the amazing leadership you have provided KRM over the last four years. So many children with cancer and their families have benefited from your efforts.

Hello Community!

It is an honor to be part of such an amazing organization and a privilege to be working alongside such an amazing staff, board of directors, partners and the most generous volunteers. I am so fortunate to have been able to join KRM right before the annual Kaleidoscope Gala and witness everyone coming together and working so hard to create an unforgettable evening. And what a Gala it was!

Teresa is absolutely right. KRM is a “recognizable and significant resource within the region”. One thing is absolutely certain; our community standing right beside us only makes this achievement possible.

But we cannot stop here and rest on our laurels. We have reached so many children with cancer and their families so that they don’t have to travel this cancer journey alone. Yet just beyond the edge of our community there are still more children with cancer and their families are in need of support. Together we will move forward, grow our community and we will be there for them.

To moving forward,

Reed Baumgarten, CEO

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every 3 minutes, a family’s life is turned upside down when they hear the four devastating words, “Your child has cancer.” At Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance, we believe that every child deserves a fighting chance – and you can help make that a reality.

This month, we honor brave young warriors, remember our precious Angels, and stand with families fighting childhood cancer today. From fundraising events to volunteer opportunities, there’s a way for everyone to join this mission of hope.

Together, let’s Glow Gold and remind every family: you are not alone in this journey. This September, we shine a light of awareness, love, and unwavering support for every child and family facing childhood cancer.
