Shave a head, save a life

By Enterprise Staff

De Vere’s Irish Pub has teamed up with the Sacramento Kings for the Keaton Raphael Memorial’s 10th annual St. Baldrick’s head-shaving fundraiser.

The partnership starts on Tuesday when the Sacramento Kings host the Los Angeles Clippers. De Vere’s is offering discounted tickets to the game so pub fans can go enjoy the game and be a part of the St. Baldrick’s action.

At the end of the first quarter, two female UC Davis Cancer Center employees will get their heads shaved live on the Power Balance Pavilion Jumbotron. Throughout the game, the Keaton Raphael Memorial, along with de Vere’s and the UCD Cancer Center, will have a St. Baldrick’s tent to collect donations, recruit participants and help raise awareness for the St. Baldrick’s Day event at the Sacramento pub on Thursday, March 15.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation helps raise money to support life-saving childhood cancer research through worldwide head-shaving events. Participants shave their heads in solidarity with kids battling cancer and raise money to support their bold, brave and entertaining gesture. The Keaton Raphael Memorial assists children with cancer and provides their families with financial, emotional and other support.
