Hope, Strength, and Healing for families coping with a child cancer diagnosis

What’s New at Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance – Keaton’s Korner September 2019

Did you know? Each year in the U.S. approximately 15,780 children between the ages of birth and 19 years of age are diagnosed with cancer.  Of that, over 800 parents throughout Northern California will hear the words, “Your child has cancer”.

Childhood cancer occurs regularly, randomly, and does not discriminate by ethnic group, socioeconomic class, or geographic region.

That’s why every September we take time to raise awareness & spread the word about childhood cancer.

Eventually, she developed little spots on her hands and unexplained bruises on her body, which the doctors deemed Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), but after seeing an informative TikTok video on the symptoms Ellora was experiencing, her mom’s gut told her it was something more than a bleeding disorder.
