Welcome Summer Intern Emily!

Join us in welcoming Emily as our summer intern! Emily is currently participating in the Summer Intensive Program (SIP) through Sacramento State University and will obtain her Bachelor’s in Social Work at the end of the summer.

Emily is a senior at Sac State majoring in Social Work and hoping to attend graduate school for her LCSW in Spring 2023. She is interested in working with families and children in the medical field of social work. Emily chose Keaton’s after hearing about our mission and the positive impact our past interns experienced during their journey at Keaton’s.

“I am beyond honored to have been chosen to work for such an empowering agency. It is my utmost priority to create positive relationships with the families, assist them to the best of my abilities on this journey, and gather essential tools to use and grow in my social work profession. Thank you so much Keaton’s, I am looking forward to this summer.”

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every 3 minutes, a family’s life is turned upside down when they hear the four devastating words, “Your child has cancer.” At Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance, we believe that every child deserves a fighting chance – and you can help make that a reality.

This month, we honor brave young warriors, remember our precious Angels, and stand with families fighting childhood cancer today. From fundraising events to volunteer opportunities, there’s a way for everyone to join this mission of hope.

Together, let’s Glow Gold and remind every family: you are not alone in this journey. This September, we shine a light of awareness, love, and unwavering support for every child and family facing childhood cancer.
