In the last 20 years, only two new drugs have been approved that were specifically developed to treat children with cancer. Now there are three. On March 10, 2015 the FDA approved this new drug to treat high-risk neuroblastoma, making it available not only through a clinical trial, but for all kids with this aggressive childhood cancer. Keaton’s Teen Alliance welcomed spring with a hands-on terrarium night filled with creativity, connection, and joy,giving teens a chance to express themselves and simply be together.
What started as a simple idea, to create a space for connection, has turned into something truly special. Seeing families show up, open up, and support one another each time reminds me why this gathering matters so much.
