Nathaniel
Age: 6
Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
On March 8th, 2017, 5 year old Nathaniel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 5. At the time, Nathaniel’s dad was not working and finances were incredibly tight for the family. Nathaniel’s parents were not sure how they were going to be able to afford all of the medical costs associated with Nathaniel’s treatment along with regular day-to-day expenses. From the very beginning of their journey, Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance has been and will continue to be there for Nathaniel and his family to help address their needs and to offer support.
Fast forward one year and Nathaniel is now 6 years old and has started kindergarten! While Nathaniel is still in active treatment, he continues to do well and is getting one step closer to remission. Nathaniel loves going to school so much that he even wants to go on weekends! His favorite color is red and he absolutely loves spider man. When Nathaniel grows up he wants to become a Doctor. Nathaniel enjoys riding his bike, playing outside and playing video games.
Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance was proud to have Nathaniel and his family join us at our annual Saint Baldrick’s event last Saturday, March 3rd. Nathaniel bravely stood on stage to help “knight” some of the shavees who participated in the annual head shaving event.
“Nathaniel’s been so strong and never complains about chemo or taking his medications. He’s been so strong since he was diagnosed with Leukemia and even though it’s been very hard on our family we stay strong for him and our other kids. “-Elizabeth, Nathaniel’s mom
