Milagros Rings the Bell!

Celebrating a moment 2.5 years in the making
In early December, we had the privilege of celebrating a moment this family has 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟮.𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀, a true warrior filled with courage and light, 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. The room was filled with joy, tears, pride, and so much love as her family, care team, and our Keaton’s staff gathered around her for this unforgettable milestone.

Her mom shared a heartfelt message that truly reminds us why we do what we do: “𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙆𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙣’𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥, 𝙄’𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠-𝙞𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬-𝙪𝙥 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙨 𝙣𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙. 𝙄 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝.”

Throughout their journey, we have watched this family face challenge after challenge with strength and perseverance. From long hospital stays to early morning appointments and difficult days filled with uncertainty, they continued to 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲. Being able to stand beside them during this chapter and now celebrate this victory is an honor we will always cherish.

Being a part of this milestone was a reminder of the 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. We are 𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, and we cannot wait to see all the beautiful things that lie ahead for her.

A Mother’s Perspective

“The bell was loud, clear, and powerful – but the journey to earn those three rings was even louder. Hearing it echo through the halls was overwhelming… tears, relief, gratitude, and the deep ache of everything it took to reach this moment. We weren’t just hearing a bell – we were feeling every second, every battle, every ounce of courage it represented.

He didn’t just ring the bell. He rang in victory.”
