This year is very different (in so many ways). However, while our world continues to change, unfortunately, the new diagnoses of pediatric cancer haven\u2019t stopped. Therefore, we have an obligation and an opportunity to bring our local community together to impact the families \u2013 in neighborhoods all over town \u2013 who have a child that is battling cancer. Childhood cancer is unrelenting, and it devastates families both financially and emotionally. So, as our world has changed, causing a ripple effect to our economy and schools (just to name a few), it was important that we quickly pivoted our operations to address the most critical needs facing our Keaton\u2019s Family. The most significant needs have been transportation, evictions, emotional support, and food insecurity. Addressing these needs are instrumental to the success of their cancer treatment, and funds raised at our Glow for Gold Gala will directly affect these pain points. Families often say, \u201cyou never think it could happen to your child, until it does.\u201d For your neighbors who have heard those four heartbreaking words, \u201cyour child has cancer,\u201d we hope you will come support them and the others in the Keaton\u2019s Family. We look forward to seeing you then!<\/p>\n
