Our Story

The Keaton Raphael Memorial (KRM), Reno chapter, was founded in 2004 by local business,
medical and philanthropic leaders to become a leading support service organization for children
and families afflicted with childhood cancer. KRM is also active nationally raising funds for vital childhood cancer research funds.

The Keaton Raphael Memorial was originally founded in 1998 in Roseville, California by Robyn and Kyle Raphael following the death of their 5-year old son, Keaton, to neuroblastoma (cancer of the nervous system). The Raphael family recognized the need to advocate and establish more comprehensive services for local childhood cancer families being treated in Northern California and now Northern Nevada.
